Ms. Martha Hao, currently the Advisor and Business Consultant of Wise Ally Holdings Ltd. focusing in electronic modules and solutions for worldwide markets. Wise Ally Holdings Ltd is a company under Defond Group who employs 300+ employees in HK and 8,000+ employees in multi sites located in China and overseas. In addition, she is also founder of XPlatform Limited driving digital transformation for SMEs.

Ms. Martha Hao has comprehensive experiences in General Management, Strategic Planning, International Business Development, Program Management and R&D. She held a number of senior management roles at Defond Group and possesses wide experiences in working with both startups and MNC. She is also actively serving the industries and community in different roles and responsibilities and is currently a Council Member of Internet of Things Alliances (IoTA) and Advisory Committee Member of Hong Kong Polytechnic University - Biomedical Engineering Department

Mr Benjamin Chan

Mr. Benjamin Chan is the Managing Director of MediConcepts Limited specializing in OEM and ODM medical device development and manufacturing. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of NEX Medical Limited, a brand manufacturer in Hong Kong specializing in minimally invasive surgery instruments.

Mr. Chan has been serving the Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industries Association for many years and is currently the Deputy Chairman. He is one of the Industrial Advisory Committee Members of the B. Eng in Biomedical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Hong Kong; and a member of the Advisory Committee for the Interdisciplinary Division of Biomedical Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (1995) and a Bachelor of Laws degree (1996) from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Mr. Chan also holds a Master of Science degree (2018) in Perioperative Care of Minimal Access Surgery from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Ms Maria Chiang has started her career in machinery mould and steel industries after obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1988. As the Managing Director of Chen Chien Holdings Ltd., she oversees and directs the company business in all aspects. With Ms Chiang’s diligence and dedication, Chen Chien has been developed remarkably and has been successfully appointed as the sole agents of Hitachi Metals and Arcelor Group Industeel since 1998 and 2000 respectively.

Mr. Orr has cooperated with a high-end supermarket chain corporate in overseas during his university study prior joining the company group, and he has substantial experience in corporate management, public health, medtech+biotech, total & smart value chain, O2O Omni-channel retailing management, and developed a multiple local & national leading medical device & consumer healthcare lifestyle brands including “Winner Medical” and “PurCotton”.

Mr. Orr holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Victoria, a Master of Business Administration degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a Master of Public Health degree in Faculty of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Mr. Orr received a Gold Medal Award at "Eureka Brussels" in 2005, which is well-known as the 54th World Exhibition of Innovation, Research and New Technology in Belgium at the age of 26.

Samson Tsoi is trained professionally as a Pharmacist and has been practicing pharmacy in Australia and Hong Kong for over 15 years. He then shifted his career into the Healthcare trading & distribution industry with Inchcape JDH, IDS, LF Asia and now DCH Auriga for the last 27 years. Samson is currently the Senior Vice President of DCH Auriga responsible for the commercial operation in Hong Kong, Macau and China. The Company mainly focus in Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Consumables and OTC Health Products. It provides full supply chain service starting from product registration, shipping, warehousing and distribution, repackaging, Sales & Marketing, after sales services an customers payment collection.

Samson has been Board Member with HKMHDIA for the last 4 years and Chairperson of the Regulatory and Quality Panel from 2017-2018.

He is the Honorary President of the Hong Kong Health Food Association (HKHFA) and previously as President/Honorary Secretary of the HKHFA, Committee Member with the Pharmaceutical Society of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Practicing Pharmacists Association.


Ir. Andrew Young

Ir Andrew Young has over 34 years of executive experience in senior positions including Director of Partnership Development for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Chief Commercial Officer of Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation. He is now Associate Director (Innovation) for Sino Land Company Ltd with responsibility to explore and identify innovations and technologies for application in the group and explore investment opportunities in technology ventures.

He has developed closely knitted and professional working relationships with leading and renowned institutions and innovation nodes in Hong Kong and around the World including Imperial College, University of Oxford, University of Waterloo, Stanford University, etc. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of HKIE, a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institutions of Engineers Australia, an Adjunct Professor with the HKUST and an advisor to Hamlyn Centre of Imperial College London as Chairman of the Translation Advisory Panel. He is a member of the Knowledge Transfer Committee of CityU; serves on the Departmental Advisory Committee of the School of Optometry and Dept of Mechanical Engineering of PolyU; and Dept of Electronics Engineering of CityU. He also sits on various committee in leading commerce and industry associations and is active within the startup and VC community.



Mr. William Yim

Mr. William Yim is the Founder, Executive Chairman and CTO of Sanwa Biotech Ltd. Mr. Yim has intensive knowledge in electronics, optics, precision mechanics and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Mr. Yim is currently the president of Hong Kong Critical Components Manufacturers' association and vice chairmen of several industry associations. Mr. Yim is also a member of the advisory committee of various organizations and academia in Hong Kong, such as Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Education Bureau Qualification Framework and Science Faculty of Baptist University of Hong Kong. Mr. Yim has many inventions including a Microfluidic Lab-On-Chip based Rapid Diagnosis Platform “ALiA”. Ir Dr William Cheung

I have been HKMHDIA executive board member for over 10 years. I have served in various panels previously and it is my honour to be able to continue to serve the association.

Outside of the association, I am in charge of R&D, Engineering, and Intellectual Property at Allan International. The core product categories of Allan include household electrical products and child/infant care products.


Dr. KM Chow

Ir Dr KM Chow, has 29 years of progressive and extensive experience in engineering and management with different local and multinational companies in Hong Kong. Currently he is the Corporate Director of AML, responsible for formulating corporate strategies and developing organizational concepts, portfolio management, maximizing the research and development resources of the Company and also leads the corporate technology unit to support member companies. He delivers practical lectures and on-job training to sharpen the skills of the staff forces. Dr Chow holds 13 patents in various technological fields, including electronic design, software operating systems and mechanical designs. He is active in enhancing the academic-industrial links with various universities.


Mr. Mark Ho

From 1993, he took up sales and marketing roles for various products ranging from pacemakers/ICDs, monitoring equipment to ultrasound in Hong Kong. He worked in a Regional product marketing role since 1996 in cardiac ultrasound; and later involved in product development before joining Pacific Medical Systems Ltd in 2005.

Ir. Calvin Koh

Mr. Koh Ming Fai (許明輝) has been the Executive Director of the Company since March 2016. Mr. Koh also served as the Assistant General Manager of the Group. He joined the Group in September 2000 and is primarily responsible for managing the operations of the Group, including marketing, quality assurance, production, engineering, and procurement of the Group.


Mr. Koh received a bachelor’s degree in science in mechanical engineering from University of Alberta, Canada and a master’s degree in business from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and he was admitted as a member of the biomedical discipline of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineer through the founding member route in January 2007. He is also a professional engineer (biomedical) registered with the Engineers Registration Board, a body corporate established under the Engineers Registration Ordinance (Chapter 409 of the Laws of Hong Kong). He is also elected as a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK and was registered as a chartered engineer in April 2008.


Mr Henry Lam

Mr Henry Lam is a Qualified Accountant. Mr Lam is the co-founder and Managing Director of Associated Medical Supplies Company Limited (AMS). AMS was established in 1981 with its Head Office in Hongkong and branches in China. AMS is specialized in bringing in niche medical devices and reference instruments made in the USA and Europe for various disciplines for distribution in the Greater China Region. AMS is also engaged in distribution of pharmaceuticals, biologics, re-agents and medical disposables. Taking advantage of the unique geographical position of Hongkong AMS also acts as Regional Service Centres for its principals. AMS is ISO9001 certified and one of its subsidiaries in Hongkong holds ISO13485 certificate for development and production of point-of-care rapid diagnostic test instruments. An affiliated company of AMS develops and produces biologics for the research markets in the USA and Europe.

Dr. Teresa Law

Dr. Law Sui Chun, Teresa graduated from HKUST as a PhD in Chemistry (major in Nano & Advanced Materials synthesize and application) and MPhil in Chemistry (major in Polymer and Materials Science) in year 2000 and 1997 respectively.

Dr. Law was the founder of the Green Breeze Limited, her inventions & achievement on air purification and air monitoring technologies were awarded for the Hong Kong Award for Industries – Technological Award (Grand) in year 2006

Dr. Lydia Leung is currently Chief Executive Officer of Belun Technology, which is in the frontier of home screening tool, big data analytics and artificial intelligence for sleeping disorder, respiratory and cardiovascular related diseases and is ISO13485:2016 certified. Belun Technology has been awarded the Asia Pacific Information and Communication Technology Award, the Award of the Year of the Hong Kong Information and Communication Technology Award and the Red Dot Design Award (Germany) as well.

Ms. Teresa Li

Ms Teresa Li holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Management Studies and Economics from the University of Hong Kong.

Ms Teresa Li has been in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries for over 20 years. She found Kingsford Far East Ltd in 2012, and is currently the Director and General Manager of the company. Kingsford Far East Ltd specializes in the distribution of hospital equipment, home use medical device and rehabilitation products. The company has acquired ISO9001 and ISO13485 certification

Ms. Clara Li

Ms. Clara Li is a registered Physiotherapist. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is the co-founder of Medixon Limited and the founder of Most Glory Trading Ltd, both companies distribute medical devices to the local market including both public and private sectors. She has been participating in Association’s Corporate Communications Panel from 2014-2018; and in External Relations Panel from 2016-2018.

Prof John Chai, BDS, Cert. Pros., MS, MJ, DLaw, FABP, FACP, FCDSHK, FHKAM (Dental Surgery)

Professor John Chai, Managing Director of Fook Tin Group Holdings Limited, is a distinguished scholar and dental specialist. As a dental specialist, he has also been awarded fellowship to several professional organizations. Prior to joining the Fook Tin Group, Prof. Chai was a full time professor at Northwestern University. He is presently a Professor Emeritus of Northwestern University, and an Honorary Professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Having a close affinity with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Professor Chai is the Vice Chairman of University Council and Chairman of its Knowledge Transfer Committee. He is also a member of the Chief Executive’s Council of Advisers on Innovation and Strategic Development, HKSAR, and was Immediate Past Chairman of Business Environment Council Limited. Professor Chai is keen to take up public duties covering higher education, innovation and technology, environmental protection and sustainable development of Hong Kong.

Ir Prof Andros Chan holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in United Kingdom (UK), MBA degree from Bradford University in UK. He is a graduate of DBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia. He is a Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institute of Engineers in Biomedical Discipline (since 2010). Andros is the Adjunct Professor – Interdisciplinary Division of Biomedical Engineering of Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2014 - now).

Andros is the founder member and the Honorary Chairman of Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Devices Industries Association. He also serves as panel member of the Biotechnology Panel of the Innovation and Technology Fund of Innovation and Technology Commission of HKSAR Government (2013-now). He is the Vice-Treasurer of the Asian Harmonization Working Party – Administration Service Limited (2014 – now). He is the Admission Panel member of the Technology Business Incubation Program of Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Corporation (2015-now). The Non-Official Member of the Assessment Panel of the Innovation and Technology Fund for Better Living (2017-now).

Andros was the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Bio-medical Division of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) (2006-2007). He takes pride in assisting and contributing to the success of governments, multi-national corporations, PE/VC firms, technology companies and start-ups. Nick has a computer science background and have inhouse experience at some of the world’s leading technology companies.
