Invitation for the MedTecHub Technology and Innovation Video Presentations
While the prolonged pandemic is causing many inconveniences in our business as well as personal life, the medical device industry has contributed significantly in fighting the pandemic, by not only providing the required numerous essential products, but also generating many innovative technologies to support our patients and the clinical infrastructure within a short time.
Apart from the availability of various types of vaccines, Western and Chinese medicines to reduce serious sickness and death, the high volume urgent demands of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Ventilators, Rapid Antigen Test Kits, Nucleic Acid Testing, Telemedicine, Pharmacy Automation … etc. for diagnosing and monitoring, drive our medical technology innovations to a new high level. It is important to share these to our members, the related industries and the general public and keep the momentum of innovation moving forward.
The HKMHDIA had two very proud initiatives during the pandemic in the year of 2021.
The first one is the establishment of the MedTecHub with the goal to promote medical technologies to the industries and public by means of various media platforms. We have completed a series of Interviews to 6 medical device startup companies and released in LinkedIn and the website of our Association. The responses are very positive and encouraging.

The second one is the Digital Healthcare Forum held on 6th Oct. 2021 which took the Team almost 12 months to plan & work. The event had more than 200 participants attended physically in Science Park and more than 200 participants joined online. The participants were the stakeholders from the medical industry, biomedical institutions, consulates, private & public hospitals from HK & Macau, and also participants from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mainland China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Romania, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tunapuna and United States.

In 2022, the MedTecHub Team is working on the initiative to produce 5 videos (5 minutes each) continuing the promotion of various medical technologies, including but not limited to 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, BioChemistry, Environmental, Exoskeleton, Genomics, Nano Technologies, Optics, Robotics, Tele-/Mobile Health, Wearables and many others.
HKMHDIA likes to invite our members to participate in this medical technology promotion to stakeholders and the public via our media platforms.
Our MedTecHub Team and the video production Team will work with your company to highlight the innovation, application and the benefits of the technology.
Along with support of the HKMHDIA and the donation from the Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Foundation, we will invite a HK$3000 of contribution to the making of the videos for each participating company. We can discuss options if you like to have any additions to the video production for your company’s own purpose.
The MedTecHub committee will vet all the applicants and determine the final participants whose technologies and applications are contributing to our users and consumers.
Please apply via the attached Link of Google Form below on or before 4 May 2022 (Wed).
